Camp this year, 2010, was at a new site at Exmouth. A local council site with fixed tents, cook house, proper showers and loos, several marquees, near to the beach. Weather was mostly good so all the boys and girls enjoyed it, and if they enjoyed it, the officers were happy.
Decided this year to have a Mini-Fayre on 19th June, 2010. Our Autumn Fayre last year was not a great success. The weather was very bad, but just in case, we've moved to June with an option to still have the Autumn Fayre later.
Christian Aid Soup Day served about 19 people and made £130+. Home made soup and puddings, very nice. No great hardship having two puddings.
The church youth put on a talent show for us on the 21st March 2010. Singing, dancing, juggling, poetry. Good time was had by all.
We've had a few bad weeks with the weather and had to close the church a couple of times as the carpark was like a skating rink, but we are back to normal now, thank goodness.
We had a competition to design a new pulpit hanging for Christmas 2009. Thanks to Sue, Margaret and Janet for all their hard work, it looks great. To see it click here Christmas hanging.
We do have rooms for hire. See our Room Hire page
The church is now decorated, Aug 2009. It's been in need of a face-lift so it's being done while the Youth Organisations are closed for the summer. Each room has a different colour scheme to give a different feel to the rooms.
We welcome our new Minister, the Reverend Headley. She takes her first 'official' service as our Minister on the 20th September 2009 at our Communion Service. We wish her all the best in her new post.
